lakevillejournal_6.gifSorry to be so late in posting the update on this week’s paper. I won’t bore you with the details, but I’ve been unusually busy.

The lead on page A1 is mine this week: a Lakeville teen (the son of a well known Hotchkiss couple) was critically injured in a sledding accident on the school’s golf course. Inside, we have Tex-Mex dinner being served at Cheffrey’s, a special selectmen’s meeting next week in Salisbury to discuss whether the town should put forth a resolution urging Rep. Chris Murphy to investigate Bush and Cheney, a new wine store will open soon in Salisbury and woe is the business scene in Sharon.

And as a follow-up to last week’s piece on motorsports legend John Fitch, we have an editorial urging the state to help people like Fitch who are on the brink of financial ruin because of leaking underground oil tanks on their property.

Elsewhere, the exchange of words on Dan Shaw’s blog continues. People are shocked — shocked — that I would want to defend myself against an anonymous commenter who accused me of unethical behavior. Imagine that …
