BTW, I would rather go hunting with Cheney than with you. He has been duly chastised by the incident, he did not get sued by the victim to the consternation of the msm, so he will indeed be more careful. Accidents happen.

Here is a very different take on the matter. You could make a case that how the VP reconciles the religious right’s views on homosexuality with his daughter’s lifestyle is fair game. But with all the other questions on the table to raise about the Bush administration, this is what Wolf brings up? Sorry, but Wolf blew it.

If that isn’t the last time we see the VP on CNN, I’ll be very surprised. Frankly, I’ll think a lot less of him if does return. There are apparently to no depths to which Blitzer won’t go. Pathetic.

And regarding Cheney as a sympathetic character, let me remind that in some circles Cheney is as popular as a rock star. And no amount of character assassination on the part of the dying MSM will change that.

I have been no fan of Dick Cheney. And I am no more of one now that I’ve seen the exchange with Wolf Blitzer. That said…

You’re right. Cheney benefits from this kind of interview. Wolf looked less Wolfish and more sheepish in reaction to Cheney’s response to the question about his daughter. His weasel like ( Let’s see how many animals I can compare this guy to ) ” I like your daughters. I’m happy for you,” etc. were pathetic.

Again, I’m no Chaney fan. But you have to admit, when he goes face to face, eye to eye with the media. When he needs to think on his feet and not rely on a script. He does pretty well.
