Ya, second paragraph. Heard that from the RealClearPolitics guy, who seemed pretty convinced. He thinks that's why the Clintons took out Warner and the others to Hillary's right. It all fits, if you work through the details, which I won't do here (some might consider it too cynical).

I know many people who would have worded it:

"Gore is the only person on the planet who can truthfully say he has run against George W. Bush and <b>won</b>".

But most of the "people" I know are Art School drop-outs.

I think that Gore can do a lot more good now, as the article states "...in leaving public office...."

I'm not sure I understand. Beat "a Rodham/Obama ticket?" The only ticket Gore would have to beat is the Republican ticket.

Or are you saying Hillary and Obama might run in the primaries with a wink and a nod to their supporters that no matter who wins the nomination the other will be on the ticket as VP? So, in essence, Gore would have to beat them as a "ticket?"

And beat a Rodham/Obama ticket?* I'll take that bet. $100 here and now.

(The best sources are saying that Bill is running the Obama pre-game show.)
