Lovely photo, Mr. Cowgill. Since leaving the Northeast (Millerton, NY 1948-1961 & Goshen, CT 1961-1963)I have seen many beautiful places in the US, but Dutchess/Litchfield Counties remain my favorites. The first spot I showed my future wife, when visiting Millerton in 1968, was Dunstan's Lake atop the mountain off Belgo Road. The second spot was Kent Falls. Of course, on the way to Kent, we visited favorite spots of mine in all the Cornwalls.

Your post on flag "desecration" speaks my mind, and all information concerning the Lamont challange is appreciated. The entire nation, including SE PA where I live, is extremely interested in the CT senatorial contest.

Finally, what's up with affordable housing in Millerton? Has the town that once had a workingman's bar for ever 10 citizens (I exaggerate for emphasis) changed so much?
